The Company
Hi...  my name is Denise Copp.  Welcome to hung on words!

I think it all started on my 4th birthday.  I can remember waking up from a nap.
Hanging on my bedroom door was a new dress.  Navy and white gingham with
a white pique top trimmed with ribbon.  I loved it!

I believe at that moment, my passion for gingham and ribbon was born.
I've always used ribbons with everything I've created.

At age 10, I had a small business decorating wicker baskets with ribbon and
sold them at a local beauty shop.  It was a thriving business.  At 14, I made
felt angels that were sold at a gift shop during the holidays.

Forty some years later, I never dreamed I would still be creating and selling my wares.

In 1994, I began painting on glass and was approached by a showroom to
exhibit at the Atlanta Gift Market.  My line was a hit and I was overwhelmed
by the response.  Denise Copp Designs grew into a very successful enterprise.

Tragically, in 1999, we lost our oldest child, Trevor, to bacterial meningitis.

I stopped painting.

Three years passed and my creativity was yearning to be released.
I gathered what materials I had packed away and my version of the
hanging sign was created.

Every sign is painted by my hand with love, in the hopes that wherever it hangs,
it will make someone happy.
